Why should Marketers use Pinterest? [Infographic]
Mashable posted this great infographic illustrating the growth of Pinterest users and the referral traffic for online retailers, which is currently higher than Google+, YouTube and LinkedIn combined.
Google+, YouTube and LinkedIn are all still an important part of a social strategy, especially for B2B companies. But, we challenge you to consider how Pinterest could fit into your mix.
At this point, the most popular brands on Pinterest include those in the fashion, home décor, food and travel categories, which are all a natural fit for this image bookmarking network.
More companies are joining Pinterest and adding boards such as “Infographics,” “Interesting blog posts” and “Things that inspire us.” If you aren’t an online retailer, think about ways that you can graphically display who you are and what your company is all about.
How do you plan to use Pinterest?

About Shelby Nichols
I am an Associate Media Director and Manager of Digital Media at Sheehy+Associates. During my 10 years in advertising, I have worked on various accounts, planning and purchasing a wide range of media. I have a passion for all things digital and am fascinated with the way that the media landscape continues to evolve. When I’m not working, you can find me cooking in the kitchen or on the couch with a pair of knitting needles. Cooking and knitting help me maintain my sanity and satisfy my curiosity for trying something new. When it’s warm outside you can catch me out and about on my scooter. Watch out, I actually have my motorcycle license!
