Famous Dave's

Establishing a casual dining restaurant chain in a new market is a daunting challenge. It’s the challenge the Derby Dave’s franchise set for itself when it opened Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que Restaurants in Louisville, KY, and Clarksville, IN. Famous Dave’s has a humorous brand personality and a distinctive slow-smoked-barbeque style of cooking. S+A took these two elements and used them to create highly effective radio, print, and outdoor campaigns. S+A’s advertising gave Famous Dave’s the breakthrough presence it needed to become a successful and competitive restaurant chain in the Louisville and Clarksville areas.

Bruce Fox

Bruce Fox, Inc. designs and manufactures custom recognition products. Despite Bruce Fox’s reputation for craftsmanship and excellence, they lacked a brand identity that matched the quality of the awards they produced. S+A created a new brand identity that complemented the high quality products that Bruce Fox produced. Bruce Fox’s new brand identity was very well received internally. The new identity was launched at the 2008 Recognition Awards Show, resulting in Bruce Fox adding even more Fortune 500 companies to their client roster.

Taste of Derby Festival

Taste of Derby Festival is an annual event, the proceeds of which benefit Dare to Care Food Bank. With over 50 of Louisville’s finest restaurants participating, the event is one of fine dining and fun mixed with philanthropy. S+A created the posters, press ads and invitations for Taste of Derby Festival 2010. The tone of the pieces reflected the fine food being offered and the even finer cause for which the event was being held. The event was a huge success, raising much-needed extra funds for Dare to Care Food Bank.

Insight Business

When Insight Business launched Insight Business Phone in Evansville and surrounding areas, S+A created its advertising campaign. The campaign included radio, print, direct mail and outdoor, and was launched in three phases. As part of the phone launch, Insight Business gave away free doughnuts to all new customers. The Donut Bank, a well-established local bakery chain, supplied the doughnuts, adding another local-link to a very Evansville-centric campaign.
